The Center Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Wyandotte Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Center is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Center gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 5-2 win over Harmon. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Luke Leslie and Brennan Eubanks made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Leslie pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Eubanks didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Leslie has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Leslie went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Eubanks went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Leslie is becoming a predictor of Center's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-10 when he doesn't).
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Westring, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Cobey McIntosh was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, Wyandotte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Washington, falling 11-0.
Wyandotte's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Center, their record is now 6-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Center has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wyandotte struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Center took their win against Wyandotte in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
