The Rural Retreat Indians will be playing at home against the Honaker Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
After a string of four wins, Rural Retreat's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 29-28 to Holston.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Caleb Roberts, who threw for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes.
Meanwhile, Honaker stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Northwood, posting a 48-7 victory at home. The victory was just business as usual for Honaker, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.
Peyton Musick had a dynamite game for Honaker, throwing for 344 yards and six touchdowns while completing 95% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Parker Bandy, who picked up 135 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Rural Retreat's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Honaker, their win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
