Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alexandria). They came out on top against the Talladega Tigers by a score of 66-53 on Monday. For the Valley Cubs, this counts as revenge for the 57-43 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Talladega lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Justasia Pointer, who posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zae Cunningham, who put up nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Alexandria now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Talladega, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Alexandria didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-42 loss against Glencoe on the 10th. As for Talladega, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-45 victory against Lincoln on the 10th.
