There's no place like home for Buckeye, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Youngker Roughriders, posting a 61-30 win. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Buckeye had a senior duo take command as Amayah Leyva went 7 of 15 on her way to 21 points in addition to six assists and six steals and Kiria Avila Escarcega went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points along with seven boards and three steals. Leyva has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Sonja Lawson was another key player, putting up six points.

Despite the loss, Youngker still got an impressive performance from Naomi Copeland, who posted ten points.

Buckeye has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Youngker, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.

Buckeye wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-22 victory against Desert Edge on the 7th. As for Youngker, they have also already played their next game, a 65-32 win against North Canyon on the 7th.
