The Hutchison Hawks won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-20 loss at the hands of Nunamiut. Hutchison was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-11.
Leading Nunamiut to victory were Anna Nukapigak and Arianna Hart. Nukapigak scored 20 points, while Hart scored 22 points.
Hutchison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Nunamiut, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Hutchison will head out on the road to challenge Monroe Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Hutchison comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Nunamiut, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-51 loss vs. Non Varsity Opponent on the 9th.
