Greer got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jalasia Lewis out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lewis has scored all season. Amiyah Clark-lamelle was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five assists and two steals.
Despite the loss, Laurens saw an underclassman step up: Nyri Allen scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Allen scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Anderson, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Greer's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Laurens, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greer will square off against Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
