Adding to the longest winning streak in 1A - North this week, Duchesne beat Diamond Ranch Academy 42-14. The victory was the 12th in a row for the team.
Duchesne took down the Diamondbacks 42-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Matt Dye ran for 104 yards during the win.
Jerry Cowan's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Trent Roberts threw for 39 yards and Braxton Spencer had 20 yards receiving. On the ground Dye chipped in 104 yards. Dylan Despain helped Duchesne's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 11 yards.
Dye was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Roberts added to the ground attack by rushing for 77 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Eagles' Roberts and Matt Muir have proven to be a lethal combination. Roberts has thrown for 777 yards this season, while Muir has 12 catches for 308 yards. Milford's Wade Netto leads the league in rushing yards with 901.
The top two teams in 1A - North will face off this week when first place Duchesne takes on second place Rich.
In 105 carries Netto has put up 901 yards this year.
