Beaumont has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Citrus Valley Blackhawks at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Beaumont suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Yucaipa by a score of 43-40. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Beaumont has scored all season.
Defeat or not, Beaumont got some senior leadership from Josiah Morgan and Vince tracy Capuras. Morgan scored 13 points along with two steals, while Capuras. scored ten points along with five steals. Morgan hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Adrian Farias, who scored six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Citrus Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Yucaipa.
Beaumont's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Citrus Valley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
Beaumont beat Citrus Valley 60-51 in their previous matchup on January 5th. Will Beaumont repeat their success, or does Citrus Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
