After flying high against the Wethersfield Eagles last Friday, the Manchester Red Hawks came back down to earth. Manchester fell 67-55 to Rocky Hill on Tuesday. Manchester has not had much luck with Rocky Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Manchester lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tiara Tyson. Despite the final result, she scored 39 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tyson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elise Ryan, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Rocky Hill, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Manchester will look to defend their home court on Thursday against RHAM at 5:15 p.m. As for Rocky Hill, they will head out on the road to square off against Newington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Newington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rocky Hill in Connecticut (Newington is ranked fourth, while Rocky Hill is ranked 31st).
