This season hasn't been kind to The Belleview Rattlers, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They took a hard 28-13 fall against Lake Weir on Friday. Belleview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lake Weir apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Weir to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Quick, who rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns. Amiel Raymond was in the mix too, providing Lake Weir with two touchdowns.
Belleview's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Palatka and 6-2 Dunnellon (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75% over those games). As for Lake Weir, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Belleview will head out on the road to face off against Tavares at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Weir, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Interlachen at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
