The Holly Wildcats can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 58-24 win over Granada at home. Given Holly's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Granada is ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Truman King continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. King is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Devin Eaton, who scored 12 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Holly pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Granada, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holly will take on Las Animas at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Granada, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kit Carson at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
