Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Runge, who are still winless after their 11th match. They were beaten by Pettus 72-25 on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Runge in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
Austwell-Tivoli's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Runge, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.
Everything came up roses for Austwell-Tivoli against the Yellowjackets when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 82-34 victory. Will Austwell-Tivoli repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
