GENOA, Ohio -
Casey Gose ran for three touchdowns and
David Nutter added three as well as
Genoa Area (Genoa, Ohio) beat Elmwood (Bloomdale, Ohio) 59-0 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Ryan Espinoza in the first quarter, the Comets were up 44-0 at the half.
Genoa Area grew its lead to 56 points entering the fourth quarter. GA scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown.
With the win the Genoa school extended its winning streak to nine games. Genoa Area defeated Otsego 73-26 last week.
The Comets went into the matchup giving up only 17.1 points per game.
Genoa Area (9-0) will play a Northern Buckeye game against Woodmore next week, while Elmwood (1-8) will take on Rossford also in a Northern Buckeye game.
