Floyd County have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they will take on James River at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Floyd County, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Things haven't been easy for Floyd County, and their matchup two weeks ago only extended their streak of losses to six. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-42 to Glenvar.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Alleghany, James River came back down to earth. James River lost to Radford by a decisive 13-31 margin. James River were down by 0-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Floyd County were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past James River 45-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Floyd County since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
