Susquenita hasn't had much luck against Halifax recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blackhawks will face off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Susquenita's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy as they made off with an 18-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Blackhawks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Ryan Schoppy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those home runs marked the first that he has launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Billy Syster, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Justin Reidlinger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Susquenita kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Halifax came out on top against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Wildcats put the hurt on the WolfPack with a sharp 11-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Brandon Schell and Will Steinhauer did most of the damage at the plate: Schell got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Steinhauer got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Schell has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
Halifax pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Susquenita, their record is now 12-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Susquenita has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Halifax struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
