The Ocean Springs Greyhounds and the Brandon Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Ocean Springs Greyhounds had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. Ocean Springs' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Ocean Springs' defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2-4. As for Brandon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5-1 record this season.
Ocean Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brandon will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Northwest Rankin at 5:00 p.m. on February 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Mississippi (Northwest Rankin is ranked first, while Brandon is ranked fifth).
