Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monarch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sienna Williams, who scored 21 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hayley Luther, who scored 9 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
George Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Monarch, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. George Washington will take on Northfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Monarch, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverdale Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
