The Benton Zephyrs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Warren Warriors at 7:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Benton was beaten by Boscobel 78-30. Benton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Warren had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past Belmont with a 51-46 win.
Warren's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Treyton Pafford, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Sabinson, who scored 16 points.
The losses dropped Benton to 0-2 and Boscobel to 1-1.
Benton beat Warren 51-41 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Does Benton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Warren turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
