Geraldine had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Fyffe Red Devils a 2-0 shutout. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Fyffe's batters probably weren't too happy with Kennedy Cook, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (she gave up zero walks). Cook has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Geraldine's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kendyl Higgins, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Geraldine's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fyffe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
