The Palo Alto Vikings had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Mountain View 34-33. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.

When it comes to explaining why Mountain View lost, one person who can't be blamed is Arturo Hernandez. Despite the final result, he rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns. Hernandez has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Viliami Sekona, who picked up 18 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Palo Alto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Palo Alto will head out on the road to face off against St. Vincent de Paul at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St. Vincent de Paul's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
