The East Palestine Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They breezed by Southern at home to the tune of 75-43. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point East Palestine had established a 22 point advantage.
Owen Jurjavicic was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rj May, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
East Palestine pushed their record up to 10-11 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Southern, they are on a 21-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.
East Palestine will stay at home for another game and welcome Lordstown at 6:45 p.m. on February 13th. Lordstown has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Southern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
