Softball Recap: Summertown Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Summertown won the last time they faced Mt. Pleasant and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles blew past the Tigers 11-1. Considering the Eagles have won 19 contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Summertown pushed their record up to 29-5-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Summertown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-0 victory against Lewis County on the 6th. Mt. Pleasant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
