The Jefferson City Jays will be playing in front of their home fans against the Montgomery County Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Last Thursday, Jefferson City was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to the Crusaders. While losing is never fun, Jefferson City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Crusaders are ranked 20th).
Meanwhile, Montgomery County strolled past the Indians with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 63-46. Montgomery County pushed the score to 50-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Indians cut but never quite recovered from.
Jefferson City's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Montgomery County, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
