This season hasn't been kind to the Evanston Devils, who are still winless after their 12th match. They were beaten by Star Valley 54-17 on Thursday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Evanston in their matchups with Star Valley: they've now lost eight in a row.
Kenlee Engelhardt was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with five assists and four steals for Star Valley. Engelhardt is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Mack Christiansen was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Evanston's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Star Valley, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-7.
Evanston will face off against Jackson Hole at TBD on Saturday. Jackson Hole comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Star Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Green River at 3:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Green River is ranked 30th, while Star Valley is ranked 24th).
