The South Panola Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 72-52 walloping at the hands of Center Hill. South Panola has struggled against Center Hill recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
South Panola lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cameron Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Demartric Houston, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
South Panola has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Center Hill, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Panola will be home for the holidays to greet Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmer is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Center Hill, they will play host again and welcome Cleveland Central, where tip off is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Cleveland Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
