The Heritage Eagles will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Douglas County Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Heritage has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Heritage pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 80-58 loss at the hands of Mountain Vista. Heritage has struggled against Mountain Vista recently, as their match on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, even though Legend scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, Douglas County still came out on top. Douglas County took their contest against Legend 72-63.
Anthony Nettles continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with eight assists and eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was London Moore, who scored 15 points.
Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Douglas County, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Heritage was able to grind out a solid win over Douglas County when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 72-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
