Volleyball Recap: Sherwood Has No Trouble Against Hume

Sherwood had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Hume on Thursday. The Marksmen were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hornets. The Marksmen not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0).

Sherwood was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-17.

Kiah Felton paced Sherwood's offense, picking up 11 kills. Felton got some help from Cooper McDonald and her 14 assists. Aubrey McCulloh controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Sherwood's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Hume, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Sherwood and Leeton will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hume, they will head out to challenge Rich Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
