The Goodrich Martians put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Brandon on the road to the tune of 73-29. Goodrich's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Marin Painter and Riley Abney certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Painter scored six points, while Abney scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Brandon struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Goodrich pushed their record up to 17-0 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.3 points. As for Brandon, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goodrich will take on New Lothrop at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. New Lothrop is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Brandon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Genesee Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
