The Tri County Area Vikings's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Chippewa Hills Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Tri County Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday.
Tri County Area pushed their score all the way to 56, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-56 to Pine River Area. While losing is never fun, Tri County Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 507th, while Pine River Area is ranked 89th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Connor Henry, who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 0 assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Lenon, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Tri County Area were working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Chippewa Hills ended up a good deal behind Greenville on Tuesday and lost 57-41.
Tri County Area's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-5. Chippewa Hills' record now sits at 1-4.
Tri County Area beat Chippewa Hills 52-43 in their previous matchup back in March. Will Tri County Area repeat their success, or does Chippewa Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
