The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 79-54 walloping at the hands of Aquinas Institute. The Park School of Buffalo has struggled against Aquinas Institute recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Singleteary, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Willy Kibowa Jr, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
The Park School of Buffalo's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Aquinas Institute, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
The Park School of Buffalo will look to defend their home court on Monday against Rochester Academy at 6:30 p.m. As for Aquinas Institute, they will head out on the road to face off against Nichols at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
