The Owensboro Catholic Aces had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They strolled past Central with points to spare, taking the game 76-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Owensboro Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jenna Krampe out in front who scored 23 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Krampe has scored all season. Hailee Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with three steals.
Owensboro Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Owensboro Catholic will take on Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Owensboro Catholic is coming into the game with nine straight victories at home, so Bowling Green is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Central will take on Fern Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Central is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Kentucky (they are ranked 32nd, while Fern Creek is ranked 176th).
