Mount Michael Benedictine had won two straight games and Jack Burke did his part to make it three on Friday. The Knights came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 51-47 W against the Platteview Trojans for which the team can thank Burke, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 16 points along with seven boards and four steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Platteview still got an impressive performance from Owen Trofholz, who shot 50% from the field en route to 23 points and eight rebounds. Trofholz has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. Sully Vanosdall was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Mount Michael Benedictine's record now sits at 8-2. As for Platteview, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.
