The Hart County Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 23-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monroe Area. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hart County in their matchups with Monroe Area: they've now lost eight in a row.
It was another big night for Darrion Manuel, who rushed for 167 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Luke Butler got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Hart County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Monroe Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Hart County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Monroe Area will head out on the road to face off against Sandy Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sandy Creek will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
