Tuloso-Midway has gone a perfect 3-0 against Hidalgo Early College recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors & Cherokees will face off against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Tuloso-Midway is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 46.7 points per game this season.
Tuloso-Midway will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Alice, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors & Cherokees blew past the Coyotes 28-7 on Friday. The Warriors & Cherokees might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Damian Figueroa, who rushed for 201 yards and four scores while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Figueroa is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 110 every time he's taken the field this season.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tuloso-Midway was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 326 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 200 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Tuloso-Midway's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Ayden Gilchrist was especially locked on to Alice's QB and sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Coyotes' side was Jaython Ayala, who picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (5.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Hidalgo Early College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 28-20 to Grulla. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last eight times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Defeat or not, Hidalgo Early College got some senior leadership from Roberto Gallegos and Javier Martinez. Gallegos rushed for 116 yards and one TD, while Martinez picked up 76 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Eduardo Barrera was in the mix too, providing the Pirates with three scores.
Hidalgo Early College's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Tuloso-Midway, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Tuloso-Midway has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 305 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Hidalgo Early College struggles in that department as they've been averaging 174.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Tuloso-Midway against Hidalgo Early College in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-7 victory. Will the Warriors & Cherokees repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
