Nathan Axmann Turns in Season-Best Performance
Waverly was led to victory by Nathan Axmann, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Axmann rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win (which was Waverly's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Axmann and Waverly will be playing at home against Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Andreasen As Pius X Won 40-0
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Joseph Andreasen stepped things up a notch to give Pius X the 'W'. Beatrice had no answer to Andreasen as he rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
Andreasen must have Beatrice's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Andreasen saw the Orangemen), he rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns.

Beatrice had to settle for second on Friday, but Merrick Johnson sure wasn't going down easily. Johnson turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 32 yards.
