Smithsburg is 0-3 against Allegany since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Smithsburg Leopards will head out on the road to face off against the Allegany Campers at 7:00 p.m. Smithsburg is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Smithsburg fell victim to Boonsboro's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Warriors.
Meanwhile, Allegany unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. Their rough 47-21 loss to Fort Hill might stick with them for a while. Allegany was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.
Smithsburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-6, while Allegany's bumped their own down to the opposite: 6-3.
Smithsburg took a serious blow against Allegany when the teams last played back in September of 2022, falling 33-0. Can Smithsburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
