While losing is never fun, Lead Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Kingston is ranked 103rd).
Lead Hill's loss came despite strong showings from Coda Lemon and Nicklas May. Lemon scored 16 points along with 5 steals, while May scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds. May continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Lead Hill has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Kingston, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lead Hill will take on Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Flippin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Flippin is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
