Basketball Recap: Saint Stephen's Episcopal Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Saint Stephen's Episcopal can now relate to. They were dealt a 73-43 defeat at the hands of the Imagine School at North Port Sharks on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly 30 points.

Cameron Brewer and Marcus Motwani certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Brewer posted 11 points, while Motwani scored 16 points and six boards. The game was Motwani's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Even though they lost, Saint Stephen's Episcopal smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Imagine School at North Port only pulled down five offensive boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Imagine School at North Port to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zahmir Jackson, who went 8 for 10 on his way to 17 points and four steals. Jackson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Jordan Kirkus was another key player, going 7 of 10 en route to 15 points and three steals.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for Imagine School at North Port, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Imagine School at North Port, they will head out on the road to square off against Admiral Farragut at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Imagine School at North Port is facing Admiral Farragut at the right time seeing as Admiral Farragut is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
