After flying high against Rockwall on Friday, Wakeland came back down to earth. The Wolverines fell just short of the Reedy Lions by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Hannah Lee paced Wakeland's offense, picking up 21 kills. Lee got some help from Gillian Dickerson and her 36 assists. Dickerson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emerson Jones, racking up two apiece.
Reedy was led to victory by Nia Lamons and Paige Hawkinson. Lamons had 19 digs and three aces, while Hawkinson had 16 assists and six digs. With that strong performance, Lamons is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game. Another player making a difference was Graice Wade, who had 14 digs and two assists.
Wakeland's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Reedy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.
