Martin waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They beat the Grand Prairie Gophers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. Alexa LaRoche made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Martin got a massive performance out of Maddison Salazar, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaclyn Blakney, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
Martin lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grand Prairie didn't launched any.
Martin's record now sits at 17-9-1. As for Grand Prairie, they now have a losing record of 13-14.
