The Ulysses Tigers lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-51 walloping at the hands of Beloit. It was the first time this season that Ulysses let down their fans at home.
It was another big night for Bryce Beisner, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds for Beloit. Beisner continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Johnson, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Ulysses' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6. As for Beloit, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Ulysses won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Liberty at 8:15 p.m. on January 19th. Beloit won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Colby on January 19th. One thing working in Colby's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
