Basketball Recap: Midland Classical Academy's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Midland Classical Academy waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 42-33 victory over the Trinity Christian Lions. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Lions are ranked 772nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midland Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mariah Davis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Addie Dunn was another key player, putting up 15 points and six boards.

Midland Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Trinity Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Midland Classical Academy will take on Kingdom Prep Academy in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midland Classical Academy is facing Kingdom Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Kingdom Prep Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Trinity Christian and Grapevine Faith Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
