The Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes will head out to take on the Camp Verde Cowboys at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
While Arizona Lutheran Academy's victory against ALA - Anthem South wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Coyotes skirted past the Titans 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Coyotes have posted since April 17, 2024.

Meanwhile, Camp Verde waltzed into their game on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Falcons 24-9. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by nine runs or more this season.
Aislynn Mulcaire made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-6 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Mariah Munoz was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Kenidy Maxwell was another key player, going 3-for-6 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Arizona Lutheran Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Camp Verde, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Arizona Lutheran Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .541. However, it's not like Camp Verde struggles in that department as they've averaged .510. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Arizona Lutheran Academy suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Camp Verde in their previous matchup back in April of 2018. Can the Coyotes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
