Volleyball Recap: Malcolm Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Malcolm won the last time they faced Elmwood-Murdock and things went their way on Saturday too. The Clippers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Knights.

Payton Dolliver paced Malcolm's offense, picking up 14 kills. Dolliver got some help from Allie Blair and her 20 assists.

Despite the defeat, Elmwood-Murdock had strong showings from Lucy Backemeyer, who had 13 assists and five digs, and Zoe Zierott, who had six digs. Backemeyer has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last six times she's played. Brooklyn Mans also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Malcolm has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Elmwood-Murdock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Coming up, Malcolm is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Milford on Tuesday. As for Elmwood-Murdock, they will take on Louisville on Tuesday.
