Northview (Johns Creek, Ga.) took an early lead against
Cambridge (Milton, Ga.) and held on for a 34-17 victory on Saturday.
The Titans put up seven points in the opening frame. Northview scored on a
Dj Pearson touchdown pass to
Matty Biondich.
After taking the lead on a Pearson touchdown pass to Biondich in the first quarter, NHS was up 13-11 at the half.
The Johns Creek school grew its lead to nine points entering the fourth quarter. The Titans scored two times in the third, including once on a
Devan Johnson touchdown run.
The defeat comes as a step back for Cambridge, who notched a 41-32 victory over Pope in its previous outing.
Northview (3-2) will play a AAAAA Region 7A game against Creekview next week, while Cambridge (1-4) will take on Forsyth Central also in a AAAAA Region 7A game.
