Brevard is 1-9 against Franklin since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Brevard is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on North Henderson with a sharp 17-2 win on Wednesday. The Blue Devils not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6, 2025 (when they won 16-1).

Scarlett Conley was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Brevard got a massive performance out of Naila Saltzman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Ava Rogers, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Franklin had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Blue Devils. Considering the Panthers have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Brevard, Franklin also got a great game from a two-way player: Suzanna Cabe. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cabe was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Ashlyn McConnell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025. Meliah Mason was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Franklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Brevard's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
