The St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Mount Notre Dame 66-34. While losing is never fun, St. Ursula Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while Mount Notre Dame is ranked eighth).
Leading Mount Notre Dame to victory were Grace Pitzer and Laila Harrison. Pitzer scored 15 points along with two steals, while Harrison scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Pitzer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Kailee Bransford was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
St. Ursula Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Mount Notre Dame, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
St. Ursula Academy will be playing at home against Seton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Mount Notre Dame, they will head out on the road to square off against Mason at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Mason is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
