The biggest upset of the week belonged to West Central, who took down 269th ranked Princeville, 9-7.
The Yankees scaled the state rankings by moving to 401 from 441 this week, the biggest jump in Lincoln Trail. West Central was able to move up by topping the Princes 9-7.
West Prairie's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cyclones feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matt Blackledge has thrown for 174 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Ethan Peterson has 11 catches for 169 yards.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when West Prairie takes on Mercer County. The Cyclones' offense has racked up 55 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Golden Eagles have allowed only 22 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Wethersfield/Annawan takes on River Valley [Midland/Henry-Senachwine/Lowpoint-Washburn]. The Flying Geese are in second place, while the Falcons are in fourth place.
Mercer County added to the longest winning streak in Lincoln Trail this week by beating Stark County, 14-10. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
