Rockbridge Academy is undefeated when Wenger posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Drew Martin and Joe Ward did most of the damage at the plate: Martin got on base in both of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and one run, while Ward got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Ward's first of the season. Evan Tessneer was another key player, earning two runs and five stolen bases.
Rockbridge Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mount Airy Christian Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.
