Softball Recap: Blue Hills RVT's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Hills RVT). They were the clear victors by a 27-6 margin over the Bristol County Agricultural Chieftains on Tuesday. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Molly Pazyra made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pazyra was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. She is also on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, Caitlin Beaucage was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Adrianna Baker was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Blue Hills RVT always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .804. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Blue Hills RVT's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-2. As for Bristol County Agricultural, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Hills RVT will host Southeastern RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bristol County Agricultural, they will be playing at home against Cape Cod RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
